Sorry folks, I have not been very active recently. I bring good tidings though, I finally have some time to pursue photography again. Fueled by my recent acquisition of a Macro lens, then brought down to earth by the current wet and cold weather, I decided to do what I do best, making a mess. How can this be accomplished, you ask? Simple: throw objects into a basin of water and watch the splashes go everywhere. Yields some nice pictures though, so I didn't mind too much. Oh, and having a lot of towels definitely helps. :) That's it for today. See you soon!

Adventuring Update Time! I spent the last couple of days reading up about a form of light painting photography that I always wanted to try, balls of light. After figuring out the basics, scouting for a location and buying or crafting all the neccessary tidbits, I had to wait for a night where the conditions were right. Tonight was the night I was waiting for, close to a full moon without any clouds. I went to the ruins of castle Neideck, an old keep that used to control trade routes through the Wiesenttal. Last week I have been on vacation in Italy, specifically Florence and Sienna. Those are some beautiful cities with breathtaking architecture. Too bad it was rather rainy, but then again this is where I got the idea to try my luck at shooting water drops. Maybe I will upload some shots from Florence later, I have not checked them all yet. How to get those drops reliably though... I bought an IV system from a pharmacy and set it up. It's far from perfect, but it allows me to roughly set dripping intervals.
